Fully German-speaking
German as the onboard language, German-speaking crew, German entertainment and menus – Mein Schiff is the most relaxing cruise for German-speaking guests.
03
Modern, mid-sized fleet
9 ships with around 2,500 guests each – no giant megaliners, yet large enough for variety and small enough for a personal atmosphere.

Frequently asked questions about TUI Cruises

Included in the fare: all meals in the main and most specialty restaurants, all drinks (soft drinks, beer, wine, cocktails, brand spirits like Bombay, Hendrick's, Bacardi), coffee specialties, minibar, 24h room service, gratuities, access to wellness and fitness. Not included: a few premium specialty restaurants, spa treatments, shore excursions and Wi-Fi – flexible packages available.

Yes – the onboard language is German, announcements, menus, shows and entertainment are in German. Most of the crew speaks German, international crew members have basic skills. That makes Mein Schiff ideal for guests who don't want to deal with language barriers on a cruise.

The fleet consists of 9 ships, each hosting between 2,500 and 2,900 guests (Mein Schiff 1–7 plus Mein Schiff Relax and Mein Schiff Flow). Large enough for a huge variety of restaurants, bars, shows and wellness – yet significantly smaller than mega-cruisers with 5,000+ guests. The result: relaxed atmosphere, short distances, no queues.

Very family-friendly: free childcare from 3 months onwards, kids and teens clubs, family cabins, child-friendly meals and pool areas. At the same time, there are quiet adults-only zones. Up to two children under 12 travel at a reduced rate or free in their parents' cabin, depending on promotions.

Mein Schiff sails from Kiel (Northern Europe, Baltic), Hamburg (Baltic), Palma de Mallorca (Mediterranean), Tenerife & Las Palmas (Canaries), La Romana (Caribbean) and Dubai (Orient), among others. From Zurich, Geneva and Basel there are direct flight connections to all embarkation ports – we arrange flights and transfers as a complete package.

Mein Schiff targets the German-speaking premium market specifically: everything in German, premium all-inclusive without extras, smaller ships with higher crew-to-guest ratio. MSC and Costa are more international, larger and often cheaper, with more languages onboard and fewer inclusive benefits. We'll gladly advise which line suits you best.

As a Swiss TUI Cruises partner we get the same prices as TUI itself – and in many cases extra perks: onboard credit, cabin upgrades or early-bird promotions. Plus personal advice in your language, payment in CHF without conversion fees, and a direct contact for changes. It won't be cheaper – but you'll be better taken care of.
