Western Mediterranean – the easy start
Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Rome, Naples. Seven days from Italy or Spain, short travel, warm ports, memorable excursions to Vesuvius or Disneyland Paris. Ideal for a first cruise with children.

Dad wants peace, Mum wants culture, the kids want fun – and Grandma is coming too. On a family cruise, everyone gets exactly what they need. And in the evening the whole family meets at the dinner table.
Not every route works for every family. These three classics have proven themselves with our clients thousands of times – short sea days, kid-friendly ports, perfect swimming conditions.

Turquoise lagoons, white sand, dolphins and the cruise lines' private islands. Seven to fourteen days of pure beach and adventure joy. More expensive than the Mediterranean, but for many families the trip of a lifetime.

Capital cities in summer, short nights, bright ports. Kid-friendly towns, fascinating history, storybook Nordic feel. The perfect choice for families who want to combine culture and adventure.
Family cruises are one of the most relaxing types of holiday there is – when the setup is right. Here are the most common family constellations.
Parents with babies and toddlers benefit twice: no daily packing, childcare from six months of age (depending on the line), and buffets for every taste. Finally, a holiday dinner as a couple again.
The older ones get their own teen clubs, ice disco, sports activities and lounges. Parents can book a spa while the kids burn off their energy. The big plus: no more debates about the evening programme.
Nothing bonds a family like shared memories. A cruise offers enough space for everyone: grandparents on the quiet deck, kids in the club, parents at the spa. And in the evening, everyone sits at the same table.
A family cruise is easier than any hotel holiday – if you ask the right questions in advance. We guide you through the planning and think of the details parents often miss in everyday life.

Not every cruise line is equally family-friendly. These four have truly specialised in families – with their own clubs, water parks and concepts that really work.
Kids up to 11 sail free on many routes – a real killer argument. MSC Yacht Club as a luxury retreat for parents, a modern fleet with water parks, zipline and F1 simulator. Our value tip for families.

Optional – multiple selections possible. Leave blank if flexible.
Most lines accept children from 6 months, some from 12 months, transatlantic crossings often only from 2 years. Supervised childcare starts at 3 years with most lines. We clarify this individually per trip – so it really works for your child.
Yes. MSC, TUI Cruises, AIDA and Costa offer dedicated family cabins for up to five. Alternatively, connecting cabins can be booked – great for families with older children. Book early, these cabins go fast.
Onboard costs vary greatly. With premium all-inclusive lines like TUI Cruises almost everything is included: drinks, food, entertainment, often even shore excursions. Other lines charge drinks, speciality restaurants and excursions extra. We calculate this honestly per trip.
Completely optional. Kids clubs are an offer – many families love that their kids have fun while they enjoy a few quiet hours. Other families never use the clubs and spend all their time together. Both are perfectly fine.
Every larger cruise ship has a medical centre with an experienced team – often better equipped than the hotel at a remote holiday destination. Minor illnesses are treated on the spot, serious cases follow clear emergency protocols. We always recommend good travel insurance.
Yes, in the buffet culture of most family lines this is no problem. Vegetarian, allergen-free or gluten-free meals can be prepared on request – best registered before the trip. Buffet-based lines (AIDA, Costa) are particularly flexible on meal times.
Quite the opposite: many families call a cruise the most relaxing holiday of all. No daily packing, no hotel changes, all meals in one place, childcare included, a new destination every morning. The only real challenge: packing before the trip – after that, things run almost by themselves.
